Child Safety - Make It Safe
Make it Safe is a campaign from the British Blind and Shutter Association (BBSA) to promote window blind safety in all homes, public buildings and other environments where babies and young children may be present.

Window blinds are an increasingly popular form of window dressing with virtually limitless designs, styles, finishes and operating methods. All blinds produced and sold after February 2014 must comply with specific child safety requirements (BS EN 13120).
Beware of unsafe blinds purchased direct
from non-UK suppliers
Since 2014 all internal blinds made and sold in the UK must comply with specific child safety requirements. This includes UK-based importers where the blinds may be made outside of the UK.
All blinds sold and installed by The Blind Company are child safe and comply 100% with the child safety requirements
Existing Blinds
Some existing blinds installed before February 2014 may have cords or chains that operate the blind and which could pose a serious hazard to babies and young children if they can gain access to the blind.
Making existing blinds safer is quick, cheap and easy just ask us how.
